What’s up in RE this year?

All children are welcome in the RE program and we are happy to work with you to try to address your family’s needs and concerns.  We are a small program, which gives us the advantage of really getting to know our children and families and customize our classes to fit all our children’s needs.

This year the Primary classes will be learning about the bible stories from the Old and New Testaments as we study our Christian and Jewish Heritage.  This background will help your children understand and think about our UU principles and history in the context of the prevalent religious doctrine of our broader society.  Often in our local culture (including the public schools) biblical references and stories are so completely integrated that the people using them don’t even recognize the possibility that some children might not be familiar with them.  This will help our UU children understand and put those biblical reference in the context of their UU Faith.
