Welcome to our website. I’m delighted that you‘re checking out our religiously and socially diverse congregation.  As Unitarian Universalist clergy, the question I hear most often from non-UU’s is, “What do Unitarian Universalists believe?“ Well, basically, Unitarian Universalists believe a person’s religion is too personal and too important for a church to be telling us what to think.

We are an independent lot, yet friendly and thoughtful as well. My own favorite time in our Sunday morning services is the “talkback,” when members of the congregation share their own thoughts in response to the morning’s sermon. Often, I’ll receive some wonderful new perspective that hadn’t even occurred to me.

My job in conducting a service is partly to comfort and to inspire, but also to stimulate and to challenge. I share my reflections on Sunday morning not because I have some “Direct Line to Wisdom“--I don’t. Rather, in bouncing our ideas and feelings off one another, we all stand to gain insight into our experience as human beings in a complex world.

Do you have your own ideas about religion? Rather than some safe superhighway to salvation, would you prefer to walk a path of mystery, challenge, and fascination in the company of other seekers? You won‘t find easy answers here--but as Albert Einstein so well noted, sometimes real discovery is a matter of asking the right questions. Come pay us a visit. We just might offer something you’ll like.
